Same JSON, now for still images

Thumbnails, banners, OG images, and social cards from one pipeline. PNG, JPG, or WebP with transparency — and 10 images cost a single credit.

Images

One model for video and stills

The exact project model that renders video also renders images. Compose static layers — image, text, and SVG shapes — onto a canvas and get a finished graphic back as a hosted URL. Dedicated image endpoints force the image type, so a video template can never be rendered as an image by accident.

Image rendering is priced to run at volume: 10 images cost a single credit, resolution-independent. Output as lossless PNG, or JPG and WebP with a quality knob, and keep a transparent background where the format supports alpha.

What you get

Built for graphics at scale

3 output formats

PNG (lossless), JPG, and WebP — with a 1–100 quality control for JPG and WebP.

Transparency

Keep a transparent background for PNG and WebP output; JPG (which has no alpha channel) is validated out.

10 images = 1 credit

Resolution-independent pricing: a batch of ten stills costs a single credit, a single image costs one.

Dedicated endpoints

POST /api/render/image and its bulk variant force image type and reject video, GIF, audio, and timing fields.

Snapshot a frame

Grab a frame from a composition with snapshotTime to turn any moment into a poster image.

Priority queue

Short image jobs get a small in-plan priority boost so they never wait behind long video renders.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much do images cost? +

Ten images cost one credit, at any resolution. A single image render costs one credit. Credits round up per batch.

Can I get a transparent background? +

Yes, for PNG and WebP. JPG has no alpha channel, so transparent output on JPG is rejected with a clear validation error.

What can go in an image project? +

Static elements only — image, text, and SVG shapes. Video, GIF, audio, and any time-based fields are not allowed in an image render.
