Your photos, rendered into one video

Feed Zvid an array of images and it builds a scene per photo, chains transitions between them, adds Ken Burns motion, music, and captions, then returns a hosted cdn.zvid.io video.

Use case

From a set of images to a finished slideshow

Point Zvid at a list of photos and describe the look once. The iterate field expands that one scene definition into a scene per array item, with an alias and auto index, and auto-chains transitions between every image, so a product gallery, property listing, or event recap becomes a single JSON project instead of hand-built timeline work.

Every frame is rendered by FFmpeg, not a headless browser, so a fixed set of photos produces the same frame-accurate output every time. Layer Ken Burns zoom, a Jamendo music bed, and animated captions, then get back a hosted video URL you can poll for or receive by webhook. Full HD is billed at 1 credit per second, with no watermark on any plan.

What you get

Everything a photo video needs

Iterate your photo array

The iterate field expands one scene per image in your array, adding an alias and auto index and auto-chaining transitions, so adding photos never means rebuilding the timeline.

44 transitions between shots

Chain from 44 named FFmpeg transitions — fades, wipes, slides, dissolves, pixelize, radial and geometric reveals — scene to scene across the whole slideshow.

Ken Burns motion

Add movement to still photos with Ken Burns zoom, set as a boolean or a depth from 1 to 10, usable per element or scene to scene.

Music and captions

Drop in a royalty-free Jamendo track with per-track volume and fades, and add captions in any of 12 animated modes rendered through ASS/libass.

Batch every listing

Send up to 500 photo-set renders in one bulk call; valid items queue while invalid ones return in itemErrors by index, all under one batch id with CSV export.

Reusable photo template

Bind {{placeholders}} for image URLs, captions, and music — up to 200 variables — so one template renders a new video for every product, property, or event.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I turn a list of photos into scenes? +

Put your image URLs in an array and use the iterate field on one scene. Zvid expands it into a scene per photo with an alias and auto index, and auto-chains transitions between every image, all resolved server-side before a credit is spent.

Can I add background music and captions? +

Yes. Add a royalty-free Jamendo track with per-track volume, trim, and fades, or upload your own audio. Captions come in 12 animated modes and can be imported from SRT, VTT, ASS-SSA, or Whisper JSON, or authored inline.

How much does a slideshow video cost to render? +

Video is billed at 1 credit per second at or below Full HD, and higher resolutions cost more per second. The free plan includes 1,200 credits and videos up to 300 seconds, with no credit card required and no watermark on any plan.
